1990- European missionaries, Thomas and Mechtild Vögelin, begin work in Melipilla, Chile with a missionary training camp with one part theory and another part of practical application.
- 1997 – Missionaries move to Argentina to organize camps in Córdoba.
- 2002 – CEC Paraguay is established with national leaders launching the first camp in January.
- 2003 – CEC International is formed to provide support to the national offices and to develop other projects.
- 2004 – CEC Chile, now in Santiago, continues their camps with a closer relationship to CEC International
- 2007 – First Campamento Internacional Misionero del Americasur (CIMA), First South American International Missionary Camp, with more than a 1,000 participants.

- 2008 - First summer camp in Cochabama, Bolivia
- 2009 – Open CEC Peru with their own office and summer camp
- 2010 – "CIMA II" in Córdoba, Argentina with 2,000 participants
